About Me: My name is Crystal; I am 20 yrs old and I live in Lancaster, CA. I have a passion for dance. I have been dancing since I was 6yrs old and competed in national competitions for 9yrs. I have experience in tap, jazz, lyrical, ballet, character, modern, ballroom, and line dancing. I hope to take a hip hop class soon as it's what I have least experience in. I've belonged to two different studios and have taken classes and participated in conventions with a large variety of teachers, which is awesome because I love getting a feeling for the different styles. I have been involved in community pageants in my hometown of California City for 14yrs. I held the title of Little Miss California City in 1994 and Miss California City in 2006. I am known in my community for volunteering to choreograph dance solos, group routines, and pan amine skits as well as coach in public speaking and interviewing to help girls that wish to participate in said pageants. I recently started singing when asked to be a member of my church's praise and worship band which was formed in January of this year. I'm not going to lie-I never pictured myself as a singer. I guess I didn't think I was any good, but I love it! I have learned so much in discovering that I am capable of holding a note...haha. I am currently learning how to harmonize which started out being pretty interesting but I'm learning and getting the hang of it. It's awesome when God surprises you with talents you never knew you had...I even wrote a song the other day. :) I am now looking to pursue acting as it has been something I've always wanted to do! I know that I have the personality for it. I haven't taken any acting classes but have been involved in many activities that to me seem relevent. I've done a couple creative/informative speeches where I've been in character, acting as Mae West was my favorite. I am a people person who is outgoing and ennergetic with a rather wacky sense of humor. I keep my friends laughing with all my randomness. I work well with others and am good at maintaining a positive attitude in negative environments. I choose not to let difficult people or stressful situations determine my mood. You can't steal my joy! :) I am a fast learner, and am motivated and determined to do what it takes to achieve my goals. I look forward to awesome experiences and the opportunity to meet various people in this industry.

Chosen at the Starpower national dance competition. With this award I was honored to be sent to Florida to dance in Disney World's Magic Kingdom alongside other dancers from all over the US.

MISS CALIFORNIA CITY 2006
As an ambassador for the community of California City I participated in parades, festivals, fundraisers, and other events throughout the Antelope Valley and surrounding areas promoting the virtues of my community. I assisted in the organization and planning of several community services and activities. I was also able to play an active role in the promotion of several new businesses in the community.

As mentioned above I love to dance, as well as choreograph, and teach dance and sing in my church praise and worship band. I also love to do volunteer work in my church and community, for it's always a rewarding experience. I enjoy working with kids-they always seem to make me smile. I love music! I would say I have a very broad range of music (from hardcore rock to country). At the moment I am trying to teach myself to play my guitar-I know chords, but it's the transitions that are a bit tricky for me. I've been raised around horses and love horseback riding. Before dance became my life I practiced gymkhanain at a young age. I am probably one of few kids who actually got a pony for Christmas. :) I now just really enjoy western pleasure and trail riding in the mountains. I enjoy spending time with my friends and family

Another hobby of mine is photography. In high school my friends described me as a pictureholic and to this day I still fin it to be true-I very rarely go anywhere without a camera.
I love scenery but action shots are my favorite! I feel that over time I have developed a skill for catching some awesome moments on camera-I love jumping pictures.

As for sports I won't claim to be any good but I do enjoy playing softball, basketball, volleyball, and tennis. My favorite sport to watch is football. I was a cheerleader in high school (captain for 2 yrs) for three 3yrs.

I love to perform! So I really want to jump start my career and start building my resume by getting credits and gaining experience.
